about

I took my first silversmithing class in New York City. since then, I’ve studied & worked in London (UK), San Francisco, San Diego, and Florence, Italy. in 2011 I returned to Connecticut, the state where I grew up, and New York again, my favorite city in the world!

early on I became fascinated with the different properties of various metals & their alchemical metamorphoses, leading me on a journey of self-education to an apprenticeship with artist blacksmith angelo garro.

to this day, the primordial transformations of iron & bronze by hammer & fire provide me with constant inspiration, whether working in steel, sterling, platinum or gold. my work is an open dialogue between the large scale forging techniques of the blacksmith and the traditional forming methods of the jeweller.

in 2011, I began pursuing & perfecting the timeless art of casting in order to make the most of the time left to me for jewelry work, as being a full time mom takes precedence for a few more years.

casting has also helped make my hand forged work more affordable and more accessible to a greater number of people, highlighted in 2012 with the appearance of my trinket line on NBC’s TODAY show.

today, my work is only available through this site or by contacting me directly, so if you like what you see, I’d love to hear from you.
