I forged the first om charm pendant years after I came to understand “om” as both a sacred symbol & sacred sound in the meditation aspects of my yoga practice.

there many interpretations of the meaning of om – mine, like so many things in my life, came clear to me after surviving my bout with cancer. I think of om as 'sounding out joyfully' (forgot where I first read that :), which loosely echoes the Vedic understanding of om as the sound of the creation of the universe and an energetic affirmation of life and its creative energy.

my gold vermeil earrings are solid sterling with a 22k gold plate and I forge them to be approximately the size of an american dime, approximately 12-15mm. they hang on 14k gold filled, hypo allergenic, french ear wires and I include little “invisibacks” to help keep them secure in your ears.

Like the other charms, I still hand hammer and polish each om charm pendant, and send them out with a quick meditation to deepen the ultimate wearer's creative life energies and powers of joyful affirmation.
